The NEET 2026 exam is officially cancelled, and the National Testing Agency has declared to take the exam again. This decision of re-exam will protect the integrity of the medical entrance exam. It will also ensure fair competition. As all students were preparing for their NEET 2026 results, but the sudden exam cancellation was announced, it is time for new preparation.
In this article, you will learn every detail regarding the cancelled exam and how to face the next exam without hesitation.
Why the Government Cancelled NEET UG 2026
The Ministry of Education took this move after proof of widespread duping and institutional failure was brought before them. An investigation revealed that the actual question papers were circulated on social media much ahead of the exam completion time. Multiple arrests in Bihar and Rajasthan reinforced that several organized groups actually released the paper at exorbitant prices. First reports indicated that only a handful of centers were in trouble, but the investigation revealed a more extensive network of iniquity.
The CBI is now spearheading the search to find out all the benefactors. To sustain public confidence in the evaluation system, the NTA arrived at an altogether fresh approach as the only plausible remedy. It would have been unjust to our bright students if seats in reputed medical colleges were clandestinely allocated.
